Who We Are
ACTAG is comprised of volunteers from beef cattle production, transportation and industry lobbying sectors working together pro bono to address key issues related to beef cattle transportation in the United States.
Industry consultant and publisher
Tim O'Byrne will act as the lead contact. Jess Peterson, Executive Vice President of the
U.S. Cattlemen's Association has agreed to assist ACTAG's efforts.
Mission Statement
ACTAG intends to, from a grassroots level, identify and address issues of concern directly related to the safe, humane, efficient, sustainable and economically viable commercial transportation of beef cattle within the United States.
Once an issue is identified, the Advisory Group will approve, through majority vote:
- forward movement to address the concern;
- breakdown of the concern and / or a proposed resolution(s) for the concern.
ACTAG concerns / resolutions will be formally tendered to the Agriculture and Food division of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) for referral to the national level.
